Kick off the new year with the Tour Down Under, part of the Union Cyclist Internationale's (UCI) ProTour. With entertainment and cycling events planned across both South Australia and Adelaide, it is a chance to enjoy six days of fun and excitement. Watch some of the hottest professional cyclists as they race down the picturesque Barossa Valley country lanes, tackling the rolling Adelaide Hills and jostle along the Fleurieu Peninsula.
Kickoff is in Adelaide on 19 January with the race running through 26 January. For the final race that takes cyclists through Adelaide's streets, expect to join thousands of other fans. Along with watching the race, be sure to check out the Bike Expo and the Tour Village. Rub shoulders and chat with the riders and their teams about their strategies as they strive to capture the highly sought after leader's jersey.
Starting in 1999, the Town Down Under has grown quickly over the years. It is now the southern hemisphere's largest cycling race. Since joining the UCI WorldTour in 2008, the only cycling event outside of the UCI's traditional European turf to do so, the event has brought the best riders and the top teams from around the world to compete in the most gripping races.
